About

Texas twang with a New Yorker flair

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, a Southern girl traveled to New York City to attend New York University in 2015.

Double majoring in English and Journalism, with a minor in Social and Public Policy, I admire and embrace the power of words. This came with the recognition of my ability to give voice to those who want to be heard through doing what I love most: telling stories. My goal as a journalist, and as a human being, is to uncover the uncovered and give voice to the voiceless.

Currently, I am in the midst of a 60-page English honors thesis on William Faulkner & corpses, continuing my internship at Fortune, & trying to be dog mom of the year for my little rescue pup, Rizzo! When I’m not writing, you can find me scouring NYC for the best Tex-Mex, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs, and watching true crime documentaries.

I am published in Fortune, VICE, Marie Claire, The Independent, Our Town NY, and Washington Square News.
