Just a Texas-born New Yorker
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, a Southern girl traveled to New York City to attend New York University in 2015. Now, she’s traveling a little further uptown to attend Columbia Journalism School for her Master’s.
With a B.A. in English and Journalism, I admire and embrace the power of words. This came with the recognition of my ability to give voice to those who want to be heard through doing what I love most: telling stories. My goal as a journalist, and as a human being, is to uncover the uncovered and give voice to the voiceless.
When I’m not writing, you can find me scouring NYC for the best Tex-Mex, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs, watching true crime documentaries, and reading her favorite author William Faulkner.
I am published in Fortune, VICE, Marie Claire, The Independent, and several local NYC news outlets.
